Ladies and gentlemen!
Welcome to join our “NATIONAL CONVERSATION” forum
The 1st national dialogue begin with the “HIT OF THE CITY” talking and cursing.

We have the privilege to invite JanitorPML , Ms. Aliman and the “STAR” of this hot topic, AMY Cheong to clarify and explain to us.

Chairing this forum is me, Xiao Lee
============================================================

Xiao Lee : Thank you for attending this forum. Let give PML to express his point of view since he is the one who started the National Conversation topic.

PML : The way I look at this issue is purely a one off. It does not happened everyday. So, let by-gone be by gone.
We have to mind our words online and try to be rationale in our comments.

Xiao Lee : Excuse me, PML. Do you think what you have just quoted can consider “RATIONALE”???
Sound to me like “a waste of talking”. By the way, do you get yourself intellectually prepared before you called for “NATIONAL CONVERSATION” dialogues?

PML : The purpose of this National Conversation served 2 things.

One is to “TEST THE WATER” like testing the water level at Orchard Road during flooding and testing the tolerant of those “Nylon string” on the MRT tracks.

Two is to learn from the mistakes and find appropriate solution to the matter like digging a reservoir at Orchard Rd to ease the water flood and change those Nylon string to rubber-band to save cost and give-out more money to the directors.

Xiao Lee : Sorry, pls do not test my level of tolerant. I can’t tahan (tolerate) people insult my intellectual mind.
Let give Aliman a chance to pour out instead of hiding her frustration and keep sabotage everything on sight.

Aliman : I think Amy Cheong do not need to vent her anger online at me. If she is unhappy with my performance or attitude, she can simply talk to me in person.

Amy Cheong : How to talk when you simply if do not listen and change your bad ways?
I have been telling you but you keep sabotage me.

Xiao Lee : Oh… I see! So? This issue was actually a personal matter that turned into a “NATIONAL CONVERSAITION” topic. Btw, Amy Cheong, do you understand Malay culture? Do you know that not all hotels cater Hali?
Do you know that women and men sit on separated table? Do you know that bridegroom married “INTO” the bride’s family unlike Chinese culture?

Amy Cheong : I did not know and it is none of my business to know other culture.

Xiao Lee : If it is none of your business to learn and respect other culture. Then, you should not anyhow criticized others’ practices. You can’t 一棍子打到完 ( one stroke killed all ) .

Amy Cheong : I am sorry and I did apologized to all. I had paid the price of my stupid mistake. I should not be so harsh on women since I am a woman too. I took my grievances too far away. I have learned my lesson and hope other will forgive and forget about this matter.

Aliman : I am wronged too. I should not antagonized you. I have deviated from ALLAH teachings and continuously hurting to ensure that you are frustrated like what I am feeling in lives. Please forgive me , Amy.

Xiao Lee : Ha..ha..ha.. That is the “RIGHT” way to solve problem. Isn’t it is as easy as ABC??

Amy Cheong & Aliman : All thank to for enlightening us on TONYHISM Teaching. We have gain a wider perspectives in life and able to have a rationale mind. Also, we are calm and peace within our heart, soul and mind now.

PML : Wow! I have never knew the TONYHISM Teaching is so useful and powerful.
Can you teach me, Xiao Lee??

Xiao Lee : I think you have to wait until your nest life lah.
As for Aliman and Amy Cheong, I shall take this issue as woman's issue. 2 charbors (women) quarrelling.
Nothing to do with religions, races, cultures or poltical motives.

ASK Xiao Lee

Xiao Lee : Shi’fu, Streetsmartfighter

Some media stations had conducted a ballot and came up with many tough questions for me to answer.
Should I reply to them???

Streetsmartfighter : Go ahead and reply to them. I will support you.

 ==================================================================

Question 1) : Can we really have work-life balance?

Xiao Lee : Sure! Isn’t you are working  for a living??

Question 2) : Can we change the model of public housing so it is a home, and not an investment asset?

Xiao Lee : No Problem! So long you do not “cow pek cow bu” (COMPLAINT).

Do you mean that I should built attap houses instead of highrise flats?

Instead of townships,  you want me to change it to Geylang  Kampung?

So that you can raise chickens in your backyard and plant vegetables in front of your attap house?

Is this what you “ ASKED” me to do for you??

Question 3) : Are you grooming your son for politics?

Xiao Lee : Whose dad do not groom their kids?  Don’t you think I am the only one who can provide guidance if my son  is a PM??

Question 4)  : In our national conversation, is there now more space for discussions of race?

Xiao Lee : Which “RACE” are you referring?? SIA Derby Race or  Dragon Boat Race or F1 Formula Race????

Kindness

Kindness suggests the human-heartedness or kindness that one person shows to another. “REN”, in Chinese characters writing, thus embraces kindness and humanity. To be kind and humane is to be benevolent, a quality which Confucius ranks as a special kind of virtue, that is, it embraces all the virtues combined. A “man of ren” is thus a “man of all-round virtue”. Kindness therefore encompasses a love for our fellow men, a virtue which prompt us to do good to others, as we would like them to do to us.

However, the turn of century sees the world on the threshold of change, the most significant of which must be the transformation of tradition. The issue here is that fundamental cultural values have shifted.

The shift has brought the world joy as well as pain. We take pride when great advancement is made in science & technology, and when our nation grows strong & wealthy. But these achievements bring with them insatiable desire for material gains. Moral values plunge and the human spirit is lost.

In a society experiencing fast-changing modes of living, can cultural values stay intact and yet still applicable to a modern society as well as a traditional one? Can these values still be depended on spiritually as a pillar of support?

In disengaging oneself from a traditional society through modernization, the importance of such values has been in differing degrees once again affirmed. A stable society, a good clean government, racial harmony, successful careers, family happiness —— these things are all closely related to one’s moral cultivation and cultural standard.
